Chatbox
The chat is one of the most useful teaching tools. Teachers use it to paste in spellings, pronunciations, definitions and corrections while talking through something with their students.
You can access the chatbox in two ways depending on whether you are screen-sharing or not.
When not screen-screen sharing, click the button in the middle at the bottom, right next to "share screen"
While screen-sharing, click the "more" button
And select "chat" from the top of the menu
When not screen-sharing, the chatbox appears to the right of the Zoom client
While screen-sharing, it will appear as a floating box that you can resize and move around:
To send a message, type into the box at the bottom and press enter.
The students can save the chatbox to refer to later by clicking the "..." in the corner of the chatbox and selecting "save chat"
As a teacher, your chatbox will be automatically saved and exported to a .txt file on your computer when you close the classroom.
