1on1 Requested

The second type of 1on1 is a requested class. These are requested by the students using our 1on1 request system via the website. Requested classes can be 45 minutes or 25 minutes long.
When a 1on1 request comes through, you will receive an automated email with the subject "1on1 Class Request". It will look something like this:

It will tell you the name of the student, the list of times they have requested and how many classes they want.
It will also show you what slides or topic the student has selected to study.
Upon receiving the request, either click on the link in the email

Or navigate to the 1on1 Request Section on the teacher's dashboard.

Once there, you can confirm or cancel a class request.

As you can see, it will create a request for each available time. Please accept all times you would like to teach and cancel any you wouldn't. If you cancel, please don't use the message box that pops up. Instead, use the Messages system (in the bottom-left of the page) to let the student know you can't accept it, or to suggest an alternative time if you are available.

Click 'Messages' on the bottom-left of the screen to talk to the student.
Important: If you confirm a class within 24 hours of its start time, message Oncall via email and Slack. We need to create the class on the system and make sure the student is aware.
Once a 1on1 Requested class has been created, it will appear in on your  Humanity Shiftplanning as 1on1 requested and will appear on the website just the same as a 1on1 Voluntary Class, except that it will be automatically booked with a student.
Within 24 hours of completing a class, the shift will be marked as "Paid" on shiftplanning.
If you class is cancelled by the student, you will be given the option to leave the class open like a 1on1 Voluntary, or to remove the class from the schedule.
