Introduction to Content Shifts
Content shifts are used to produce videos, slides, interactive games and other learning material for our students. Teachers who are assigned to content shifts might be called upon to cover a class if another teacher is ill or has technical problems.
For a content shift, please log onto Slack and message Oncall to let them know you are available 10 minutes before your shift is due to start.
Once the shift starts, head to Trello and find any content work you've been assigned. Work through the content until the end of the shift. If you haven't been assigned anything, please contact Oncall. See our Using Trello article for more details.
Work on the assigned tasks until the end of the shift, or until Oncall asks you to cover a class. See our Providing Backup article for more detail.
If you have an empty class, you also might be assigned to do content.
